COVID-19 UPDATE

With schools and businesses now closed for the foreseeable future, it is difficult to predict whether we will be running our Year 10 Work Experience programme for June 2020. We will review our position as a school early in the new term after Easter but in the meantime would urge you not to make any financial commitments (eg – booking flights) towards any potential work experience placement. Should you have any updates yourselves regarding placements we would be grateful if you could email us at [email protected] for the attention of Mrs Bell. Stay safe and well.

Welcome to the Work experience portal. Here at the Anglo European School, we believe that work experience is vital for our students in preparing them not only for employment but for life, enabling them to not only experience the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of the world of work but to develop into rounded and confident individuals. We believe we know our students far better than any external work placement provider and so have for the past 9 years organised our placements in house so that our students and families can feel reassured that the best possible experience will be accomplished. The positive benefits of this experience are clearly visible on students’ return to school – from a greater focus on learning to achieve their aims, increased maturity to make informed career choices and a better understanding of what the world of work entails.

Dates of work experience 2020:-

L6th IBCP students – Monday 9^th to Friday 20^th March 2020 inclusive

All other L6th students not going on an exchange visit * – Monday 9^th to Friday 13^th March 2020 inclusive

*Please note that those L6th students who are participating in a work experience exchange do not need to fill in any paperwork as this has been coordinated through the Visits portal

Year 10 – Monday 1^st June to Friday 12^th June inclusive
