Years 10 & L6 Exchange Visit to China Application Form

Please complete the application form below to apply for a place for your daughter/son on the Years 10 & L6 exchange study visit to China.  The deadline for application is Monday 30th September 2019. 

The partner school due to visit England is the Dagang Middle School, Zhenjiang. Please note that due to the nature of the academic set up in China, your daughter/son may not be hosted by the same student in China as you host in England.

The application will only be processed once it has been completed online and the deposit paid via Parentpay.

Please note:

• This form and the payment of the deposit represents a firm commitment by you to the visit. Your deposit is non-refundable.
• As this is an exchange programme, you are also committing to hosting your child’s partner in your home for the duration of the visit and paying for transport to/from school, all meals and any activities that you undertake with them.
• Students must be studying the language at school in order to take part in the visit.
• We will endeavour to give each student their first choice of exchange but please note this is not always possible.
• We reserve the right to cancel a visit if the uptake is too low. In this case, you will be given a full refund.
• Acceptance onto the visit programme is dependent on behaviour and attendance.

Cost of Visit

The total cost of the visit is expected to be in the region of between £1,800 and £2,000.

There will also be an additional cost for the China visa which is in the region of £150. Details of how to apply for the visa will be issued nearer the departure date.

The initial deposit is £500 which is due by 30th September 2019.   The preferred method of payment is ParentPay. If you have forgotten your ParentPay login details, please contact [email protected].
