Free School Meals

It is important for children to have a good nutritious meal at lunch time.  If you find it difficult to afford school dinners you may be eligible for free school meals.

To qualify for Free School Meals, you need to be receiving one of the following benefits: –

• Income Support
• Income Based Jobseekers Allowance
• Income Related Employment and Support Allowance
• Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
• The Guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
• Child Tax Credit, (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
• Working Tax Credit run-on –  paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
• Universal Credit

Free school meals can only be given on the basis of a completed and approved application and cannot be backdated.

Please complete the form below.  Once you have completed your application form and provided the necessary evidence of eligibility, this will be processed.  Again, if you need support completing the forms, the Finance team are very willing to help you.
